«A Netsonda disponibilizou um estudo realizado no seu Painel de Opinião sobre Eleições e Internet.
Dos resultados destacam-se as seguintes conclusões:
-Verifica-se um crescimento significativo dos inquiridos que utilizam a Internet para se informar acerca dos candidatos a actos eleitorais. Enquanto que nas últimas eleições legislativas, 31% dos inquiridos utilizaram a Internet como fonte de informação, em 2009 esse valor sobe para 60%, ou seja, o dobro.
-Cerca de 3 em cada 5 inquiridos pretende informar-se em relação às eleições legislativas utilizando a Internet, tornando esta a eleição onde este meio tem maior relevância. São os homens e os indíviduos mais jovens quem mais antecipa utilizar a Internet para se informar.
-O acesso a sites noticiosos é a forma de obtenção mais comum, sendo mencionada por 86% dos inquiridos. Os sites não noticiosos e os blogs são referidos por aproximadamente 2 em cada 5 inquiridos. As redes sociais são mencionadas por aproximadamente 1 em cada 5 inquiridos.»

Americanos frequentam cada vez mais redes sociais

«O tempo que os americanos dedicam a espaços de socialização digitais como o Facebook, o MySpace ou o Twitter quase duplicou num ano, segundo um estudo publicado pelo Instituto Nielsen Online.
De acordo com a sondagem, o número de minutos consagrados todos os meses às redes sociais na Internet aumentou 83 por cento entre Abril de 2008 e Abril do corrente ano.
O Facebook, que afirma ter 200 milhões de utilizadores, registou, em um ano, um crescimento exponencial, com um aumento de 700 por cento do tempo que os cibernautas gastam a navegar naquele espaço.»
